The Biz Studio prides itself on providing clients with real-world knowledge of the business of show business. From time to time, we have master classes taught by casting agents, agency/management, directors, and working actors.
Our Program Director Mary Kennedy is a professional actress/comic (SHAMELESS, CONAN, ER) who has also been an LAUSD certified substitute teacher for over ten years. She holds a BFA in Theatre Ed. from Emerson College and a Professional Certificate in Stage Management from the Juilliard School Intern Program.

Our Artist in Residence Paul Jacek, an alumnus of the American Academy of the Dramatic Arts, has been a professional comic and actor for over 30 years; he was a writer for Joan Rivers, co-starred with Betty White on Off Their Rockers (NBC), and his numerous one person shows have been showcased in LA Weekly.
The Biz Studio, located in the NoHo Arts District of Los Angeles, is a professional training ground for actors. Students are offered a wide array of instruction in Sitcom, Commercial, Comedic Acting, and Movement for the Actor training. Actors are also given training in the fundamentals of show business: How do you get an agent? What headshots best suit you? What characters can you play effectively and easily? What makes you competitive?
The Biz Studio also offers a professional writers room for up and coming comics. Comics in this program get to expand time, and work with those who are writers for late-night shows, touring comics, and headliners.
